22-year old centre-back Nemanja Antonov signed a one-year loan deal from Grasshopers. Next summer, Partizan will be able to buy off his contract for 400 thousand Euros and 20% next transfer option.
Antonov was part of Serbian youths who won the WC in New Zealand 2015 which led to him earning a transfer to Grasshopers where Antonov made 56 apps and scored 3 goals. Previously, he played for OFK Beograd scoring 4 goals out from 46 apps.
Sports Director Ivica Iliev on Partizan latest signing:
– He is the part of the machinery we needed and now we can say our defensive lines are fully fixed. I wish Antonov lots of personal and team success. It`s on him to prove himself and I`m sure he will. Antonov is great addition to our squad.
– After 10 days of negotiations I`m delighted to be here. I know what is expected from me and I know where I am. I`ll do my best to live up to expectations. As soon as I got informed Partizan wants to sign me I wanted to move, regardless of EK qualification. Partizan is big club, double was one last season and I want to win trophies with the club too.
