Forward Djordje Ivanovic arrived to Partizan this winter from Spartak. He is battling for his spot under the sun and goal scored in a friendly against Radnik can only help his cause.
– I scored my second Partizan goal but it was only a friendly game. I hope and I believe I`ll score more goals in competitive encounters ahead of us. Each goal scored helps your confidence, makes you wanna train even harder. I want to prove myself and play more, says Ivanovic.
Ivanovic reveals it was hard getting used to Partizan training system for him.
– I need some more time. I joined Partizan three months ago but it feels like I`m here much longer. To be honest, so many things are kind of new to me and I didn`t expect that. But, I`m getting used to it and it`s going to be alright.
What`s so different in Partizan compared to Spartak?
– It`s another planet. Everyone thinks they can play in big clubs but when you become part of it everything is so much different. All Partizan players have quality and the competition is massive so it`s much harder to play here. Partizan and Crvena Zvezda are standout clubs around.
Partizan is trailing to league leaders Crvena Zvezda but Ivanovic believes Partizan can win league honours.
– I really hope we can win the double. Last season, I didn`t believe Partizan can win it but it happened. Now I believe we can do it again.
