Centre-back Markovic on a goalscoring run

Partizan is off to a three-day Easter break after a 3-1 away win over Proleter. Goals from S Markovic, L Markovic and Jojic secured 28^th league win of the season for Partizan.

Svetozar Markovic scored Partizan opener and was unlucky to send the ball into his own net after a defensive blunder from his teammates. We spoke to 21-year old centre-back after the game:

“It was tough early in the game, Proleter was more threatening. We didn`t enter the game as we should and made mistakes we simply must not allow to happen. But, I scored the opener on 17 and I`m so glad I did. More importantly, we won at the end” – said Markovic.

You scored an own goal on 77 as well.

-I`m a bit fatigued as well. As for the own goal, it was an misunderstanding between keeper Popovic and Bagnack, Mirosavljev was lucky as ball was practically going out, he got a weird touch, ball hits me and tricks Bagnack to end up into the net.

You had a minor injury recently. Are you 100% fit?

-I`m fully fit but we are all a bit fatigued. It will be alright, we will all recover and get some rest over the Easter break.

What are your plans for Easter?

-We have three days off and I`ll be visiting my family in Bosnia for the weekend. Happy Easter everyone!
