Community: Doing it for the kids

Partizan players Sasa Ilic, Bojan Ostojic and Sasa Zdjelar visited kids wing of National Cancer Research Centre in Belgrade and spent some quality time with centre`s youngest patients.

Kids were presented with gifts from Partizan shop including notebooks, pens, mugs, pencil cases and monopoly game.

–I always respond to these events in a group or individually. As a parent myself and Partizan skipper, I find it important to lead by example. People with health problems need this personal touch. We`ll go home, but these kids and their parents, they are still here with their problems. If we are able to make their day and help by being there like this, we`ll always be there, said Sasa Ilic.

–Only when you meet these kids and people in need you realize everything else happening around us is pointless. We find this visit quite emotional and it hurts when you know you can`t help as much as you would like. I`d like to appeal on everyone to send a text on 7175 and help kids wing at Cancer Research Center, said Sasa Zdjelar.

Bojan Ostojic:

–My phone is full of photos and videos of my new little friends. We read and sung to them, took Instagram photos. Some of them already followed my on social network. My heart is full now but on the other hand I know how painful this is for their parents. We go, they stay here. This is real life around us.
