Partizan youth academy graduate returned to the club after plying his trade abroad for a while and picked up his form and showed his vast talent before the winter break.
After not so successful spell abroad, Pantic is enjoying his game again. Speaking to Partizan website he underlines the importance of upcoming EL tie and fan`s support.
– Everything starts and finishes with the fans. Therefore, we need packed stands on Thursday. This team made a great success and we know how hard it can be when we have low number of fans at the ground. If we go down, fan`s energy picks us up and pushes us forward, says Pantic.
You picked up your form before winter break?
– Progress is natural if you are devoted to your job and I think that happens to me now. I train a lot and fine results motivate me to keep it up. As for the winter preps, they were tiring but not something you can`t make through. I had some minor injuries but that`s part of the package too.
What do you think about this Partizan side?
– I think we look better now. We are together for six months and we understand and cover each other more. I`m glad people outside football world notice that also.
During winter preps, Partizan played friendlies against sides from Czech Republic and Slovakia to get ready for Viktoria Plzen more.
– These are very dedicated and aggressive sides who love to play paceful game. We have to be careful not to let Viktoria impose their rhythm but to play to our needs.
Viktoria tie is almost historic for this Partizan team. Are you additionally motivated and do you feel pressure?
Pressure is normal when you play football and we kind of love it. But, when you come out of the tunnel you forget about it and you try to do what you do best.
