TEAM NEWS

Zubairu and Natcho are in contention after picking up knocks during the last weekend`s derby game. Filipovic is expected to return to training in a couple of days while Milosevic should resume training within the enxt ten days.

Partizan boss Srdjan Blagojevic ahead of Mladost home:

“Derby is behind us now, it`s a closed book. We talked about Mladost game straight after the derby. It`s another tough test for us, another game against one of the top five sides in the league. Mladost is surprise package of the season. They closed on us alongside Radnicki 1923 as both those teams picked up three points last weekend. Battle for European spots continues and we are hugely motivated to keep or extend this point margin, so we are awaiting Mladost charged and ambitious.

I still believe Mladost match is possibly even more of a challenge for us compared to a derby, as you are fully charged and motivated for it but you waste a lot of energy as well. Games after the derby are demanding and unique and taking into the account the quality of Mladost, it`s going to be a big challenge for us.

I watched Mladost before and they have the oldest squad in the league age-wise but they are also a blend of experience and few young and talented players. Moreover, they are second-best in the league defensively and it says enough about their qualities. Also, before losing away to Radnicki 1923, their away record was five wins, five draws and one defeat, so they win more points away conceding 0.75 goals per game. Mladost defends in 5-4-1 or 5-2-3 formation and they don`t allow you much space while being dangerous on the counter-attack. They are very dangerous in transition play, quite uncomfortable opponent overall.

Our aim is to have more joy and quality for Partizan as a club and as a team.  To get there, we need to be focused on the next thing in line, not on a result itself. We need to get the routine first, something that will lead us to a positive result. Our ambition is to stabilize things around and to make base for the future, alongside winning a spot that will allow us to compete in Europe next season. Moreover, all of this will go along with promotion of young players.
