Every season, a number of Partizan youths join senior team. This winter`s call-up was attended by Cucin, Nisic, Bosnjak, Djerlek, Birmancevic, Jovanovic, Trnic and Markovic among others.
Some of them will travel to Cyprus on 24th fo January for a 16-day winter preps.
Luka Cucin arrived to Partizan as early as 8 years old and graduated from Partizan youths looked out throughout his whole career by coach Darko Tesovic.
− I`m still under great impression as this was my childhood dream. Every player dreams about this, especially those of us who were growing up watching senior team train. I have a bit of a stage fright, it`s more about feeling responsibility, but it all gradually disappears with each new training session. It means a lot to us youngsters that team accepted us as equals. It`s a great atmosphere around, says Cucin.
This youngster plays as a right-back and his favourite player is Dani Alves but he enjoys watching Partizan`s Miroslav Vulicevic playing as well.
− If I start talking about Vulicevic`s virtues and what I like about him this chat would last long. Of course, I would like to be his successor and to learn all the right stuff from him while I`m training with seniors. Vulicevic provides all of us young ones with a lot of attention and understanding and I`m glad I can learn my trade from the best.
You showed great physique during recent medical tests.
− Honestly, I expected such results as I worked a lot. My desire is to remain with senior team, to work hard, be determine and one day, when my performances are good enough, to play as Partizan right-back.
Cucin is few exams short from graduating at High School of Tourism.
− I spend a lot of time reading books, mostly motivational ones. I also like to play tennis and I go swmming as well when I have time. Swimming relaxes me and helps my physique as well. Training with senior team is a valuable experience for me and i`ll do my best to prove myself.
