Marko Zivkovic after his rare starting line-up appearance

Partizan won Radnicki 2-0 in a Linglong Tire SSL round 31 fixtures with goals from Asano and Holender. Right-back Marko Zivkovic made a rare starting line-up appearance and we spoke to 26-year old defender after the game.

“It was a great feeling, especially as we played at home. Tough game, Radnicki showed their quality although their results don`t match their form. I was part of their squad in the past and I know they deserve to play European competitions” – said Zivkovic.

How did you feel considering your minutes are quite managed?

“I felt great even though I didn`t play for a long time and I`m not quite in a competitive shape. I do my best in training session and wait for the opportunity to play. I talk a lot with my right flank teammate Miljkovic, we help and support each other.

All in all, I`m happy and pleased with this game. We had a lot of opportunities, especially in the first half when we missed 3 or 4 clear-cut chances and failed to win it early. But, it`s a football game and it`s normal to miss and score. It`s important we won it and we really looked good on the field.

Boss praised us after the match and I`m glad we picked up as a team after a derby defeat”.

Radnicki fielded a couple of former Partizan players. Do you play with them before?

“Aksentijevic was there at my first Partizan spell. He`s a great player and deserves to play in a better league. I think he will make a good transfer from Radnicki. As for Djurickovic, I don`t know him, we didn`t play together”
