Partizan youngs stars Samed Bazdar and Mihalo Ilic took part in latest Partizan Podcast. It`s a well known fact Partizan youth school is among the top ones in Europe and Bazdar and Ilic are often on European and world lists of the most talented young players.
Bazdar and Ilic were asked if they find those lists and articles flattering our pressurizing.
“Any kind of support means a lot but it`s on us not to fly to high, to remain down to earth. We try to prove ourselves day by day”, said Ilic.
“I agree with my Partizan roommate. It`s on us to work diligently, to train and to use every minute spent on the field to our advantage”, said Bazdar.
Mihajlo Ilic presented himself to Partizan fans in a best fashion away to Sheriff when he came in as a sub after centre-back Vujacic got sent-off, helping his teammates win and keep a clean sheet.
“I played it ok; we managed to keep our advantage, which was my aim upon coming on as a sub. Only when we got on a plane after the game, I realized what I have done as it`s every Partizan youngster dream to play for the seniors and in the European competitions. My dream came true and the feeling is incredible”, said Ilic.
Samed Bazdar had a great opportunity to score in a return leg against Sheriff but away keeper saved his close range low shot.
“I couldn`t sleep that night as this opportunity could have changed the outcome of the game. These things happen, football is such game, but we have to move on. I hope I`ll get more opportunities to score. I`m hungry for goals”, said Bazdar.
Finally, Partizan young guns expressed how much work under new boss Duljaj means to them.
“Boss is a true professional, one of the few who talks a lot with young players and makes us feel important. He gives us fatherly advices on and off the field, on football and life in general. It`s an honour and privilege to work with him”, Bazdar and Ilic agreed.
