
Partizan U-19 side secured league title two rounds before the end of the season and won UEFA Youth League participation for the first time.
We spoke to U-19`s coach Stojakovic as well as players Stjepanovic, Tanasijevic, Jevremovic and Bebek.
“Desire without objective remains desire only. Desire without dedication remains desire only as well. We wanted this, we had our objective and dedication to get where we wanted”, said U-19 coach Stojakovic.
Hard work and training exertion led to great results and number of U-19 youngsters joined senior team preps. Standing next to Ricardo, Urosevic or Natcho is a massive motivation for further work as well as upgrade for all the youth league challenges.
“I felt so much better on the field against TSC. I`m sure senior team training have influence on me”, said U-19 skipper Stjepanovic.
Youngster Bebek confirms motivation was greater after work with the seniors while Tanasijevic underlines honour and privilege of first team training.
They all agree it`s everyone`s dream to play for the seniors, which is one of the Partizan youth school objective as well.
While some of the youngsters played for seniors already, the rest of them wait for their opportunity patiently.
“Now I train with seniors. I was on the bench on some games and I cannot wait to make my debut and to live my dream”, said Stjepanovic and added that all young players have to prove themselves every day to get that desired opportunity.
“I trained for a long time to get here and the moment has finally come. I made my official debut and made six appearances so far, There`ll be more, I hope. I advanced both physically and mentally”, said Jevremovic.
Lots of obstacles and tough moments during the season didn`t discourage Partizan youngsters to reach their objective. To the contrary – they were even more motivated to cross the line first.
In the latest edition of Partizan Kids show they also spoke about matches that marked their 2022/23 season and what their hopes are for upcoming UEFA Youth League.
