Ricardo and Stevanovic on Backa win

Now experienced forward Ricardo Gomes and youngster Filip Stevanovic spoke to Partizan website after Backa win.

– Goals are important for every forward and for a team as a whole. Our confidence grows especially after winter preps and varied friendlies, first few without a win followed by a great performance against Shakhtar.

TPreps are important to blend the team together, to learn tactics and we did the job in the first game of the spring part of the season. I`m glad we showed team unity. Both forwards scored, midfleider Zakaric too and that is the result of our unity. I didn`t score many headers this season and this one makes me particularly happy. Miletic sent a pinpoint cross to me. Boss had patience for all of us. I feel good and I`m pleased we showed we matured. We also have more experience compared to first part of the season as we spent more time together and had full preps together, said Ricardo.

Soon upon signing, you scored in Eternal derby game. What are your views about it now?

– It`s getting close but we have important Proleter game first. It`s important as our join aim is to win each and every game. Win before derby game would give us confidence to play that big match to the top of our abilities.

16-year-old Filip Stevanovic came on as a sub away to Backa.

– I`m glad I played my first minutes upon season`s restart. I`ll never forget my December debut against Rad and everything that happens to me now is one big blessing. Looking back at that debut, there was quite a few good things over those ten-something minutes, said Stevanovic.

You are 16 only. Is it hard for you to handle things against more experienced players?

– Not really, I can play full 90 mins but boss knows what`s the best for considering my age and experience. I`m grateful for this opportunity to work with the team and to be part of this club, something I was always dreaming about.

Partizan is home to Proleter next weekend.

– I`ll say what most of my teammates said already – we played well and this is the way we should move forward. We are all down to earth and aware that only hard work brings results and appreciation.
