Ricardo Gomes: We felt great pressure

Partizan finally achieved first home win of 2023 by beating Vozdovac 1-0 in a SSL round 29 match. The only goal of the game was scored early on by Ricardo and we spoke to Cape Verdean forward after the match.

“We didn`t win in five consecutive games at our ground and we deserved to win this one regardless of the performance and goalscorer. I hope this win will give us confidence to push forward and do good things, released of great pressure we constantly feel. Lots of us were under pressure due to poor results, that`s normal. I hope next game will be even better”, said 31-year-old Ricardo.

Partizan created and failed to convert lots of opportunities.

“True, we missed a lot but Vozdovac keeper was great too. The good thing is we created opportunities as we didn`t do much in a previous game against Vojvodina. Now we have to keep on going and improve, to work and scoring more goals too”.

What follows is important encounter against Cukaricki.

“Each game is important now. We have eight games left and it`s like eight finals for us. Now we need to get some rest and start preparing for Cukaricki match, one we all it`s going to be tough but we will have desire and idea to pick all three points up”, said Ricardo.
