Partizan won Novi Pazar 2-0 at home in a SSL round 34 encounter with goals from Sehovic (`2) and Ricardo (`82).

Moment of silence was observed before the kick-off, in memory of all the victims of unprecedented massacres in Serbia with names of the victims displayed on the scoreboard while both teams wore shirts with “United in pain and sadness” written on it.

Straight after the game, we spoke to Partizan left-back Zlatan Sehovic who deputized for suspended Slobodan Urosevic and marked his start with an early goal.

“I`m thrilled we won it. Let`s keep this winning streak going. We must not give up but battle for the runners-up spot until the end. In all honesty, I would like to dedicate the goal I scored, my first one for Partizan, to all the victims of unprecedented horrors that happened over the last few days. Let them all rest in peace”, said 22-year-old.

Although Partizan won it 2-0, it seemed team struggled a bit.

“It`s true. It keeps happening to us, we enter the game, score an early goal and stop playing. We didn`t have a fluent pass but we did have some useless transitions. At the end of the day, when you sum it all up, it`s the win that matters and we`ll fix the rest”.

Three more games to go but both runners-up spot rivals achieved wins this weekend.

“Now we have to look at their results, to hope they can lose some points and to try and get to that desired runners-up spot. I think we deserve it”, said Sehovic.
