After picking up player of the week award couple of days ago, Takuma Asano scored a brace against Vojvodina yesterday for a 2-0 Partizan win.
Jaguar on the pitch, hard worker and professional off it, Partizan Japanese talked to club`s website after another great performance.
“I`m so happy, mainly for the team and the results we keep achieving. It means nothing if I score brace and win man of the match award if we lose. I`m proud that we are pushing forward and keep winning as a team. Of course, I`m happy for my family too, as they follow my performances all the time” – said Asano.
What was it like against Vojvodina?
“They are a good team we are always having tough time playing against. We had some poor results away to Vojvodina and we lost to them in a cup final last season. They are still one excellent team but we won as we are one different Partizan now. Boss teaches us to be kind of a humble, to look at ourselves only and to push towards our aim. Each and every game, each and every opponent is what matters to us. It`s only the matter how difficult next obstacle can be. Everyone loves beating Partizan, even in the friendlies. It`s on us to keep our form, to listen to our coaches and to work as a team. This team is about spirit, battle and togetherness”.
Your brother is with you in Belgrade now?
“Yes, he is. Due to lots of duties, I`m not able to see my family often so he came over to visit me. I speak with the rest of the family with help of modern technology and they are all happy for us winning. I have a day-off today so we might go for a bit of a walk”.
