Takuma Asano after scoring a winner away to Metalac

Partizan won Metalac away to go through to the last 8 of Serbian Cup. Takuma Asano was the sole scorer, his brilliant effort late in the first half proved to be a winner:

-We all knew the importance of this game as only a win mattered. But, I was not scared nor I entered the game thinking about it. We knew we needed focus, needed not to lose it at any cost as the same opponent punished us for it in a league game. We start each and every game fine but we fail to score an early goal. We have to fix that – said Asano after the game.

You celebrated your goal by bowing down but you also showed numbers three and two with your fingers. What was that all about?

-This goal means a lot to me as my friend was celebrating his 32^nd birthday. Sadly, I had more opportunities to score but I failed to convert them.

You are in Belgrade and Serbia for quite some time now, it seems you are getting used to it all.

-I didn`t see much of Belgrade and Serbia so far as my life is focused on Partizan and practice but I love Serbian people!

Last night we heard sad news of Diego Armando Maradona`s departure.

-I was extremely sad. He is someone who wrote the pages of football history and showed all of us footballers life and career`s path. When one page of history is closed down, the new chapter starts. It`s on us to write new history.
