In memoriam: Duško Vujošević (1959–2026)
FK Partizan received with great sorrow the news of the premature passing of legendary basketball coach Duško Vujošević.
We were aware that his health had been deteriorating and hoped he would win the most important battle of his life, just as he had done many times on the court while leading his Partizan. Sadly, he did not succeed and passed away at the age of 67.
Partizan supporters will remember him not only for the numerous trophies he won, but also for his passion and dedication to improving all sections of the Yugoslav Sports Society Partizan, where he also once served as president.
During his remarkable coaching career, Vujošević won five ABA League titles, two Yugoslav championships, three Serbia and Montenegro championships, and six Serbian league titles with KK Partizan. His trophy collection also includes two Yugoslav Cups and two Radivoj Korać Cups. He led KK Partizan to the EuroLeague Final Four twice and concluded his coaching career in Cluj, Romania.
In the 2008/2009 season, he was named the best coach in Europe and received the “Aleksandar Gomelsky” award. He also served as head coach of the national teams of Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dule, thank you for everything. Rest in peace.
