Partizan were held to a 2:2 draw by Zemun in the opening round of the Mozzart Bet Serbian SuperLiga.

The final score hardly reflected the balance of play, as the black-and-whites were the better side for most of the match. However, a series of unfortunate events deep into stoppage time cost them all three points. A misunderstanding between Milan Roganović and goalkeeper Marko Milošević resulted in the ball ricocheting off Novak Petrušić and into the net for a dramatic late equaliser.

For much of the match, Partizan were firmly in control. The opening 20 to 25 minutes belonged almost entirely to Saša Ilić's side, with only Milan Aleksić's strike in the 19th minute finding the back of the net despite several promising attacks. The tempo later dropped, and Ilić himself admitted after the match that there had been "too much anarchy" in his team's play during that period.

Zemun capitalised on Partizan's dip in intensity when Petrović levelled in the 57th minute, but Ognjen Ugrešić restored the visitors' lead less than twenty minutes later. The introductions of newcomers Jeh and Traore injected fresh energy into Partizan's attack, and the black-and-whites once again took control, creating enough chances to put the game beyond doubt. Their failure to convert those opportunities proved costly, as a late lapse in concentration allowed Zemun to snatch a point in the third minute of added time.
