The decades-long friendship between the two clubs’ supporters adds a special dimension to their relationship. Their shared Black and White colours, mutual respect and close ties between the fan bases have long made previous encounters between Partizan and PAOK much more than ordinary friendly matches, giving them special significance both on the pitch and in the stands.

Partizan and PAOK have played each other twice in friendly matches in 21st century. The first encounter took place on 7 September 2008 at Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki.

Eight years later, on 8 October 2016, Partizan hosted PAOK in Belgrade. In front of more than 15,000 spectators at the stadium in Humska, including a large number of PAOK supporters, the special bond between the two Black and White clubs was once again on full display.

The match was also remembered for an important moment in Partizan’s history. Saša Ilić made his 791st appearance in the Black and White shirt, equalling the record previously held by club legend Momčilo Moca Vukotić.

Ten years later, Partizan will return to Thessaloniki.

This time, the occasion carries special significance. PAOK is celebrating a century of existence, and Partizan has the honour of joining its brother club in marking this major anniversary.
