Since his September 2021 arrival to Partizan, Dutch winger Queensy Menig amassed a total of 102 appearances for the club.
“I wasn’t following the stats but it`s nice to play so many games and to become the part of Partizan Club 100. I`ve been told about the players who did a lot for Partizan in the past and reached this centenary. I have to admit it`s a nice feeling”, said Menig.
Did anything changed since your arrival here?
“What remains the same is that everyone made sure I feel at home from the day one. That`s how it is today as well. There were ups and downs but we were all together in it. Belgrade is a nice city. I love Holland and it`s my home but everyone makes me feel welcome here”.
Do you have your favourite spots in town?
“I love your food, especially meat. I go to Durmitor restaurant often”.
Best and worst games for you so far at Partizan?
“For me, toughest ones were games against Feyenord and Nordsjaelland and those I remember fondly are matches against Sparta Prague and the one against Sabah when we came back from 2-0 down in the first leg, incredible game”.
We have one more game before another international break – Cukaricki home. Partizan won 12 games in a row but Cukaricki is a tough opponent.
“We are top of the league now and this is the path we should take – focused, ready and without any euphoria present. We`ll see what the score is at the end of the season. Well take it game by game”.
You are not alone on your path, fans are there supporting you.
“Absolutely. This support should be greater every day as we need to keep this winning streak. I think fans are aware if it and I have no doubts they will support us. I`d love to see more of them at home ground”.
Menig scored 23 goals and made 26 assists for the club so far.
