Lamine Diarra, former Partizan players and fan`s favourite, attended latest edition of Partizan Podcast. Diarra is top of the list regarding goals scored in Eternal derby matches by foreign players and Partizan fans still sing songs in his praise, be it wedding, christening or any kind of celebration involving our die-hards.
“Fans love Partizan a lot. They appreciate when you do your best for the club. I always knew I had to play to the top of my abilities if I want to be part of their hearts”, said Diarra.
Diarra scored 5 Eternal derby goals and he revealed what you need to score in a biggest fixture of Serbian football which might serve well to all Partizan newcomers.
“You se bruv, my aim was always to prove myself. When I arrived to Partizan, people were good to me and constantly talked about big derby game. They said if you play well and score derby goals, people will get to love you. God helped me score derby goals and I`m so thrilled about it”.
Diarra told us about his expectations regarding Partizan this season.
“I see new players, they play nice. You have an excellent striker Saldanha and I believe Partizan can win the title this season. God willing, I`ll be there for the title celebrations”.
Lamine Diarra spoke to Partizan boss Igor Duljaj.
“He called me regarding one Senegalese player. We had a good chat and I told him everything will be alright with Partizan as I see things are gradually moving in the right direction. It`s so hard when you are a Partizan coach but Duljaj knows how to deal with it as a former player who played in big clubs. I believe he will lead Partizan to great heights, where we want to see the club”, said Lamine Diarra.
