Partizan left-back Nikola Antic attended latest edition of Partizan Podcast. Boss Igor Duljaj pointed out all his charges put up a heroic performance in a recent Eternal derby game and Nikola Antic himself did a great job on the left flank, preventing one of the best opposition players to have a field day.
At the beginning of the Podcast, Antic summed up derby day.
“We are all extremely tired, especially mentally. It was a really tense game with lots of pace and opportunities at both ends of the pitch. Atmosphere was great with lots of fans on the stands. It was a good derby day and it`s on us to march forward and to remain top of the pile”.
There were some quite dubious ref`s decisions, like moving the wall of players 11,5 metres away from the free-kick spot.
“I don`t want to go into it, pitch is my focus. But, everyone realizes this match was double hard for us and everyone knows we have to work even harder to remain on top. What we all said after the game was fair-play and I want to underline character of the boys, from the oldest one Natcho down to youngest one Stjepanovic and Trifunovic. We all do our part of the job and do our best on each training session”.
It seems Antic and Goh have a chemistry on the left flank, sometimes joined by Zahid.
“Goh is diligent lad, fair and positive. He`s got working ethics, good skills and tenacity. He needs to listen more regarding defending duties but bright future is ahead of him. Zahid is fully educated player, he know what to do in each moment of the game, technically gifted player. I love playing with both of them and I`m sure will be even better as double acts on or regarding left flank runs”.
Antic had a message for Partizan fans as well.
“They follow us all around Serbia and I think this synergy is very important, it boosts every player on the pitch and every fan on the stands. It all works together this season and I`m so pleased with it and proud about it. I would love to see them make a true home atmosphere at Humska Road”, said Antic.
