FK Partizan General Director spoke to media reps at the Maxbet event ahead of the new season.
Your expectations ahead of the new season?
"Our expectations are always as high as they can be. It was up to us to appoint best possible coach for the club and i think all Partizan fans can be satisfied with the arrival of Aleksandar Stanojevic with whom we signed a three-year deal. We also fulfilled almost all the wishes coaching department and Stanojevic personally had regarding the arrivals of players.
On the departure front, we expect Bazdar to travel for Zaragoza tomorrow while we signed eight new players and kept most of the squad within our ranks. The expectations are high but as coach Stanojevic just said, our thoughts are turned to Napredak game first, then we`ll think about Dynamo Kyiv. I hope we`ll have a good start on Friday and then we`ll move onto what`s most important to us financially - a chance to play in three competitions this year.
Can we expect more newcomers?
"Coach and Sporting Director needed certain players to arrive before the start of the season and we did it. Rest of the arrivals will depend on our European results. Dynamo Kyiv is favourite in this tie but if we go through to the next round we are in the group stage of one of the European competitions automatically, meaning it will be much easier to get new signings. There are players on the exit doors, those who boss Stanojevic is not counting on this season but it`s mainly about how we do in Europe. Of course, we`ll try do meet the desires of our coach and coaching department overall".
Will Partizan aim for the title this season?
"Of course we will, that`s why Stanojevic is appointed - he knows how the things are done when you are after the trophies.I hope we`ll be competitive until the very end of the season but it`s not just about us. Our bitter rivals have enormous budget and it won`t be an easy ride but i can promise team led by Stanojevic will be there hundred percent fighting for the title".
Two bonus players rule had been added this season after all?
"Stanojevic had hid opinion on it, there`s no point talking about it now. We gave our opinion on it and it`s over nor, we`ll fight for the fair season by every means. I believe refereeing will be fair too, i have no reasons to beleive it won`t be".
Any more words on departures?
"Stanojevic said there are players there who can leave. Transfer window has just started, Euros have just finished and we`ll see what will happen".
There are changes in the club`s board, Mr. Momirovic being one of the new members. Moreover, Miralem Sulejmani took over FK Partizan scouting.
"There will be more changes, we expect more new people in club`s board. Sulejmani is young and capable with great contacts in countries he played in. He already suggested some players to the coaching staff and they are looking into it".
Partizan fans will be back on the stands after boycotting home games last season.
"Thank God for that, I think they should give their support to the team. We know their stance and we`ll try to change it on the field of play and our overall work, to win their trust again", said Milos Vazura.
