FK Partizan Stadium Announcer Ljubomir Ljuba Peric attended latest edition of Partizan Podcast. His voice can be heard at Partizan ground for almost 50 years and Peric revealed how it all started:
“I had a privilege to work for Partizan magazine and on Partizan radio show later on. Year 1976, I became FK Partizan stadium Announcer and that same year I met my future wife Bojana, so that year has a special emotional feel for me. Moreover, Partizan won long-awaited title in 1976, I was there for that Olimpija Ljubljana title-winning game”, said Ljuba Peric.
During those almost 50 years, Peric witinessed incredible matches, glorious wins and painful defeats, all part of Partizan history. He told Partizan Podcast which game left biggest impression on him.
“Probably the one against QPR, I did it from the West stand`s radio room. The other one is Artmedia game, the saddest game ever and it was the first time I wasn`t professional but did an announcement as a fan, calling on Partizan fans to give their final support for the team. These two games are two extremes; all the others are sandwiched in between”.
Over the years, Peric had short or long breaks from his work, but it was all for justified reasons apart from last two years when he was released of his duty. More importantly and to the joy of Partizan fans, Ljuba Peric is back.
“I`d like to thank people who invited me back. For the first time in my life, I had butterflies in my stomach ahead of Partizan v Cukaricki match. I had full trust in SA Partizan President Ostoja Mijailovic and Mr. Ljajic. Partizan is the biggest sports family in the region and I believe we will be back to the old glory days”, said Ljubomir Peric.
