Serbian FA General Secretary Branko Radujko paid a visit to FK Partizan and was welcomed by club`s Acting President Rasim Ljajic as well as members of FK Partizan Task Force Group Milka Forcan, Predrag Mijatovic and Danko Lazovic.
Branko Radujko was accompanied by Serbian FA Sports Centre Director and License Manager Nenad Santrac as well as long-serving League Competitions Coordinator Dusan Galic.
For the occasion, Branko Radujko spoke about all-level competition reforms proposition. These changes would dramatically change level of competitiveness on domestic football scene and it`s expected such moves would contribute to better results of our clubs and national teams on the international stage.
There were also talks about problems surrounding work with youth teams, do we need foreign players among Serbian youths, who works with our most talented youths and how, do we need to change youth league formats to make them more compatible with seniors and what is to be done with kids 17 to 19 years of age, of national team potential but with not much senior team involvement.
This is all even more significant knowing that new FK Partizan management is determined to bring the levels of club`s youth football up to the level FK Partizan youths were for decades – crème de la crème of European youth scene.
“Kids just need to take the shirt, number 8 or 10, it doesn`t really matter, and go to lower league clubs like Dubocica or Macva where they will have playing continuity, where they will be able to develop and gain experience for the big stage”, Branko Radujko sent the message to young players and coaches working in Serbian football clubs.
Serbian FA proposes Serbian Super Liga of maximum 12 clubs from the season 2026/27 onwards while second-tier would be considered a development league, without or with limited number of foreign players. Of course, the basis of it all are highest possible quality pitches and infrastructure, this being one of the strategic targets of Serbian FA for the upcoming period of time.
