Former Partizan player Kristijan Belic attended latest edition of Partizan Interview show. The 23-year-old Serbian international, now of AZ Alkmaar, has fond memories of his Partizan days.
“I watch Partizan play any time possible. My wife knows it – there`s nothing else I`m going to do when Partizan is playing, I just sit on my armchair and that`s it. That`s how it`s going to be until the end of my career, I will always follow Partizan”, said Belic.
We also hope he`ll be back to his favourite club one day.
“Of course I will, it`s set it my head already and I`m sure it`s going to happen. I felt so good at Partizan. If I could, I would be part of this club forever and I`m sure things will go my way eventually. I have to pay my dues as well, that haircut I promised to have when we win the title and I will do it sooner or later”.
As someone who was a bonus rule player at Partizan, Belic supports youngsters Partizan turned to as part of new club`s policy.
“I`m playing for the club where you have five regulars in the team who didn`t even turn 20 yet. That`s normal everywhere now. I believe boys who are getting their opportunity to play now for Partizan will get on a level required in a few games or months. From what I`ve seen, some of them are already there. Partizan had one of the best youth academies around and it showed when our kids were runners-up at prestigious Amsterdam youth tournament. Partizan academy graduates are the essence of Serbian national team and we should keep moving in that direction fully supporting club`s strategy”, said Belic.
