Partizan finished mid-season preps in Antalya with a win and three draws over four friendlies. Final friendly, played against Polish champions Jagiellonia ended in a one-all draw. Squad returns to Belgrade tomorrow.
Once again, Partizan took the lead when Kovac scored from a bicycle-kick on 21 while Jagiellonia equalized early in the second half when Pululu scored for a one-all draw final score.
Polish champions, who qualified for the play-off stage of UEFA Conference league. were the best opposition Partizan met during the Antalya two-week training camp and our boys presented us with best performance of the winter preps. Partizan didn`t win but it was clear certain ideas of the new boss are gradually picking up consistency and players look more as a team with each new day.
This good performance is even grander knowing that great number of players are sidelined due to injuries or illness – Ibrahim Zubairu, Zlatan Sehovic, Paco Fuhrer, Nihad Mujakic, Leonard Owusu, Milan Roganovic, Vukasin Djurdjevic, Djordje Jovanovic, Marko Zivkovic and newcomer Jovan Milosevic, while Mihajlo Ilic added to the list suffering injury in the second half of Jagiellonia friendly today.
On the other hand, boss Blagojevic can be pleased with his charges scoring at least a goal in each of the four friendlies played while there`s going to be more work on the other details in the remaining seven days before the restart of Mozzart Bet Super Liga.
