Novi Sad, Feb 8

Partizan played a goalless draw away to Vojvodina, second stalemate in a row since the season`s restart.

Boss Blagojevic made two starting line-up changes compared to the last weekend`s outing. Newcomer Vukotic made his full Partizan start at the expense of Natcho while Zubairu returned from suspension to play at the left wing for injured Trifunovic.

Partizan had the first opportunity of the game. It was a neat counter-attack on 10 finished with an edge-of-the-box low drive from Vukotic comfortably saved by Gocmanac – Partizan academy graduate, now between the posts for Vojvodina.

Zubairu sent a tricky ball just over the bar from his 20m effort on 19 but Ghanian winger missed a really good opportunity seven minutes later when he stole possession just outside the home box to be left with only keeper to beat but allowed Gocmanac to make another save.

Vojvodina replied two mins later but edge-of-the-box shot from Bamidele was comfortably saved by keeper Jovanovic. Minute later and after a corner-kick ball into the box, Sichenje headed the ball just wide of the left post.

Zubairu`s saw his shot blocked on 34 followed by a great overhead first-touch pass from Vukotic on 35 and poor close range angled lob attempt from Nikolic.

Kokanovic hit the outside netting with his close range angled effort on 42 so it was to remain goalless at half-time.

Vojvodina was first to threat after the break but keeper Jovanovic saved Romanic`s shot on 51. Partizan replied on 56 after a corner-kick from Jurcevic and header from Filipovic for another Gocmanac`s save.

Filipovic made a fine clearance on the hour to stop dangerous Vojvodina attack but injured himself in the process so he had to be subbed by recently recovered young right-back Roganovic on 64. The 19-year-old right-back joined 17-year-old centre-back Simic and 21-year-old centre-back Ilic on the field, quite young Partizan backline minus 29-year-old left-back Jurcevic. In came Natcho for Zubairu as well.

Sub Roganovic was in thick of the action on 66 sending a pinpoint cross into the box for Vukotic to head it towards the left corner of the net but Gocmanac had no trouble making another save.

Bamidele and Kokanovic tested keeper Jovanovic on 68 and 72 respectively while Kokanovic also sent 18m drive wide of the right post on 77.

Djordje Jovanovic was in for Nikolic on 75.

Partizan had a final say but Barros made a last gasp clearance ahead of sub Djordje Jovanovic on 89.

Goh was in for Vukotic deep into injury time but it remained goalless at full-time.

Partizan is home to OFK Beograd next Sunday.
