Coach Srdjan Blagojevic confirmed that no major rotation is expected despite the lack of competitive pressure on Partizan. Dusan Jovanovic remains the only recognized striker. Youngsters Vanja Dragovic and Ognjen Ugresic recently signed long-term contracts.
Partizan boss Srdjan Blagojevic ahead of Vojvodina at home:
– Although this match may seem irrelevant competitively, we owe it to the badge, the fans, and ourselves to finish the season in the right way. Matches between Partizan and Vojvodina have always had significance, historically and emotionally. We want to say goodbye to our supporters with a win and end this campaign positively.
Vojvodina will be highly motivated after their Cup final defeat. “They’ll be under pressure – they need at least a point to secure Europe. That psychological burden is something we don’t carry. We handled that weeks ago. Now we can play with clarity and focus.”
Blagojevic praised the attitude of his players in training. “Without a competitive push, this week could have been difficult. But the team worked hard, professionally. I told them – we finish this the right way. That’s the expectation.”
Commenting on youth integration, Blagojevic noted the progress of Dragovic and Ugresic. “They earned their new contracts through hard work and attitude. This is just the beginning. They must stay grounded and focused. We’re proud of them, but they still have a long journey ahead.”
On the issue of young Serbian players leaving early, Blagojevic said: “We need to create conditions that make them want to stay. That includes not only finances, but also the environment – one that encourages development and treats staying in Serbia as a step forward, not a step back.”
