Ahead of the 12th round of the Mozzart Bet Serbian SuperLiga, Partizan head coach Srđan Blagojevic spoke to the media before the team’s trip to Backa Topola, where the Black and Whites face TSC on Saturday at 18:30.
Blagojevic opened by addressing the challenges of preparing his squad after the international break, noting both pride in having many national team players and the logistical difficulties it brings.
“We’re proud to have so many internationals — around ten or eleven players — but it does disrupt our rhythm. We only get two or three days to work with the full squad before matches like this, which makes preparation more challenging,” said Blagojevic.
The Partizan coach praised TSC for their rise and organization, calling them an example for Serbian football. He reminded his team that Partizan has yet to beat TSC since he took over, using that as motivation heading into this round.
“TSC has made remarkable progress in the last few years — from lower leagues to Europe. They deserve great respect for that. We haven’t beaten them since I arrived, and that’s a personal motivation, but the most important thing is how we look tomorrow,” Blagojevic emphasized.
Blagojevic also commented on Partizan’s current position in the standings compared to the same period last year, stressing that the club’s focus remains on internal progress rather than comparing with rivals.
“Partizan is a big club with a great name and tradition. We have the right — and the obligation — to be ambitious. Our main goal is to keep improving day by day. If we maintain that trend, the results will follow,” concluded the coach.
The match between TSC and Partizan kicks off Saturday at 18:30 in Backa Topola, with Blagojević calling on supporters to come in large numbers, especially as the next two home games in Belgrade will be played behind closed doors.
