Players of FK Partizan secured a victory in the first round of the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga playoff against FK Železničar Pančevo, taking second place in the standings with a 2:1 (1:1) win.
Head coach Srđan Blagojević opted to start as many as six young “bonus” players, who fully justified his trust. They showed determination and quality, and together with the more experienced players, managed to secure three very important points.
The visitors from Pančevo took the lead in the 23rd minute through Nikola Jovanović, who beat Marko Milošević. However, just seven minutes later, the score was level. Milan Vukotić delivered a precise cross into the penalty area, and Ognjen Ugrešić headed the ball expertly into Zoran Popović’s net.
While the first half lacked excitement, the second half brought more intensity. The decisive moment came from Andrej Kostić, who reacted intelligently after a major defensive mistake by the Železničar goalkeeper to score the winning goal. Overall, both teams showed more energy, fluid play, and attacking intent. Partizan’s players displayed composure and confidence at both ends of the pitch, which was also praised by coach Blagojević.
