Players of FK Partizan were defeated by FK Crvena zvezda in the 33rd round of the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga Serbia – 0:3 (0:1).
Squad issues meant that head coach Srđan Blagojević could not count on several players, most notably experienced Saša Zdjelar, whose absence was clearly felt in Partizan’s play. Still, the six young “bonus” players who were given a chance showed they have the quality for such an important match, and the coaching staff can seriously rely on them in the future.
Partizan’s players were unable to score, but over the 90 minutes they had periods where they were the better side and created several clear chances. Milan Vukotić, Ognjen Ugrešić, Demba Seck, and Sebastian Polter all found themselves in excellent positions, but lacked a bit of luck to convert. Based on the overall performance at Rajko Mitić Stadium, the black-and-whites fully deserved at least one goal.
On the other hand, the opponent managed to turn their chances into goals and ultimately secured the victory in front of their home crowd.
