On Saturday, 11 July 2026, at 8:00 p.m., FK Partizan will mark the 50th anniversary of one of the most dramatic championship triumphs in the club’s history. The commemorative event will take place in the garden of the Partizan Restaurant, exactly half a century after the title was secured in Ljubljana on 11 July 1976.

In the summer of 1965, FK Partizan won its sixth national championship title, a triumph that paved the way for the unforgettable 1965/66 European Cup campaign and the historic final in Brussels on 11 May 1966.

Following the title won in the 1964/65 season, Partizan endured an 11-year wait for another championship celebration. Then came the 1975/76 season.

Partizan entered that campaign as anything but the favourite. Greater expectations surrounded Red Star Belgrade, Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb. However, the remaining member of Yugoslav football’s celebrated “Big Four” achieved a remarkable feat precisely when few believed it was possible—apart from the club’s loyal supporters.

No Partizan title, either before or after 11 July 1976, was won in more dramatic circumstances than the one secured on that scorching summer afternoon at the Bežigrad Stadium in Ljubljana.

The championship was decided by Nenad Bjeković’s winning goal in the final seconds of the match against Olimpija Ljubljana. Later that day, following the team’s return to Belgrade, spectacular celebrations unfolded—from the runway at Belgrade Airport and the lines of supporters gathered along the motorway, through Humska Street and all the way to the garden of the Partizan Restaurant, where the players and fans celebrated together until dawn.

Exactly half a century later, at the same venue where Partizan’s seventh championship title was celebrated through the night, FK Partizan will pay tribute to its generation of champions.

The event will provide an opportunity to revisit the unforgettable 1975/76 season and its extraordinary finale in Ljubljana. Alongside the players, Partizan supporters will also share their memories—both those who travelled to Ljubljana and those who followed the OFK Beograd–Hajduk Split match from Karaburma, whose outcome was crucial to Partizan’s chances of winning the title.

The stories of the players and supporters will be accompanied by screenings and commentary of authentic archive footage from the period.

We invite media representatives to join us and cover an event that will serve not only as a tribute to one of the defining moments in FK Partizan’s history, but also as an introduction to the week ahead, during which the Black and Whites will take part in a series of promotional activities before the start of the 2026/27 competitive season.
