Partizan were defeated 3-1 (2-0) away to Mladost in the sixth round of the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga Serbia.
It was not easy for the Black and Whites to play against an opponent that remained focused on defending its own goal throughout the match before creating chances through quick counter-attacks and converting them with great efficiency. The home side scored all three of its goals in exactly that manner, while Partizan's players had to invest a great deal of energy to find a way to Saša Stamenković's goal.
Nikola Čumić had one such opportunity in the 64th minute but fired over the bar. Before him, Ognjen Ugrešić had a less promising chance with a shot from distance, while it was not until the 83rd minute that Demba Seck's effort finally found its way past the experienced Mladost goalkeeper.
Saša Ilić's players continued trying to reduce the deficit until the final whistle, pressing actively towards the opposition penalty area against a side defending desperately. However, they were unable to find another goal, and the score remained unchanged.
