Partizan were beaten 3:2 (2:0) by Vojvodina from Novi Sad in the ninth round of the Mozzart Bet Serbian SuperLiga.
Backed by the excellent support from the well-filled stands at the Temple of Football in Humska, the Black and Whites started the match against the side from Karađorđe Stadium very aggressively, but they were unable to convert their first big chance into a goal. Brazilian forward Jeh missed the opportunity, and the visitors soon found their way past goalkeeper Miloš Krunić.
Milan Kolarević did so in the 17th minute with a great deal of luck, as the ball struck Lima and changed direction on its way into the net. The same player then scored again before the end of the first half, this time on his own, leaving the Black and Whites two goals behind after 34 minutes.
Late in the opening 45 minutes, Jeh was forced off due to injury, with Erik Kojzek replacing him in attack. The Austrian managed to reduce Vojvodina’s lead in the 68th minute, capping a much-improved performance by the Black and Whites in the second half.
Then, with Saša Ilić’s side in the midst of their attacking pressure, the visitors from Novi Sad managed to extend their advantage. Once again, however, they did not put the ball into the net themselves, as it rebounded off Stefan Milić and ended up in the goal.
Erik Kojzek found the net once more in stoppage time, setting the final score at 2:3.
