Partizan played a friendly match against Russian first-division side Rodina at the renovated pitch of the Partizan-Teleoptik Sports Centre. The match ended 3:2 in favour of the Russian team, with Zubairu and Trifunović scoring for the Black and Whites, while Timoshenko and Sissoko found the net for the visitors, along with an own goal by Milovanović.

Chances came at both ends in the first half. Following a free kick midway through the opening period, Timoshenko was the highest in the air and headed the ball into the net, but Zubairu quickly responded for Partizan.
