Partizan centre-back Mihajlo Ilic received a senior Serbia national team call-up from coach Dragan Stojkovic.
20-year-old will be part of the Serbia squad for an away game against Hungary (14th of Oct) and Serbia v Montenegro game to be played in Belgrade on 17th of Oct.
“As any player thinking it`s honour to play for the national team, I kind of secretly hoped this call-up is a possibility. It meant a lot to find yourself on initial list recently, but I`m aware this is only the first step for me, that someone noticed my work and efforts I made at Partizan. It`s on me to prove myself even more now, as only good performances and gradual football maturity can recommend me for future call-ups. I`d also like to thank national team coach Stojkovic, I`ll do my best”, said Mihajlo Ilic.
