Partizan won Vozdovac 3-0 at home for an 11th consecutive league win and 5th clean sheet in a row.
Regulars Kanoute (suspension) and Belic (illness) were back in the starting line-up. Kalulu couldn`t recover from his injury sustained midweek while Menig was absent from the squad. As a result, Severina was back among starters, Natcho played a central midfield role while Zahid was moved to the left wing.
Over the early exchanges, visitors saw couple of their shooting attempts blocked and a long range free-kick shot comfortably saved by Jovanovic.
On the other side, shot from Natcho got blocked and his promising pass inside the box intercepting during another move.
First proper opportunity was missed on 13. A nice build-up involving Natcho, Severina and Belic but near post attempt from Saldanha was blocked by a last gasp sliding tackle. On 16, another fine build-up involving Severina, but unmarked Natcho sent the ball over the bar with his first-touch shot inside the box.
Saldanha hit the outside netting with his close range angled shot on 29 but he was waved offside in the process.
Belic injury scare was nurse on 39 while Ilic sent a fine header towards the net after a set-piece ball from Natcho but Vozdovac keeper tipped the ball over the bar for another goalless Partizan first half.
Partizan started second half in a furious fashion. It started with a great right side run from Severina on 46 and cross for ghosting Zahid who volleyed the ball over the bar with his left-footed close range shot. Kanoute and Belic headed the ball over the ball on 48 and 54 respectively.
As a result of constant attacks, Partizan took the lead on 54. It was another brilliant right side run from Severina who entered the box and sent a neat low drive off the far post and into the net.
Two minutes later, Natcho found charging Zahid inside the box, Zahid showed great composure to intercept the ball and sent and outside-foot shot into the right corner of the net. Second assist of the day for Natcho, 6th this season and 50th overall, while Zahid scored his 5th Partizan goal.
Vozdovac made three subs on the hour and on 67 VAR was in action after visitors appealed for a penalty-kick but there was a handball offence in the process.
Duljaj subbed Natcho for Nikolic on 67 and Kanoute for Scekic on 70.
On 81, Damjanovic clearly brings down Saldanha in the box for a Partizan penalty-kick. Saldanha scored his 9th of the season from the spot. He`s top SSL goalscorer at the moment.
Towards the end of the match, Duljaj send young guns on the pitch. Bazdar, Stjepanovic and Trifunovic made their respective cameo appearances and Bazdar was close to scoring on 89 but his measured left-footed strike was off the target.
Partizan will play Serbian Cup last 32 stage game on Wednesday, away to Jedinstvo Ub.
