Mustafa Hasanagic, Yugoslav football great, member of Partizan Babes and legendary striker of the best generation our club had, died today aged 83.
Mustafa Mujo Hasanagic was such a talented player and so good a striker that you could talk about him for hours and days, but numbers say it all – Hasanagic made 337 appearances and scored 355 goals for Partizan.
There`s no other Partizan or Serbian player who scored more goals in regard to his number of appearances.
Goals were Mustafa`s obsession. He scored many nice ones, mostly in his trademark style – chesting the ball and volleying it under the crossbar, sometimes with his left, sometimes with his right foot. He loved headers as well and Hasanagic himself stated his Eternal derby header goal was the one he cherished the most.
Hasanagic also had admirers outside Partizan and former-Yugoslavia borders. He was nicknamed The King in Switzerland, English feared of his performances while great Pele had a lot of respect for our Mustafa.
One and only Mustafa Hasanagic, may he rest in peace.
