Coach of Partizan-affiliated football club, Strahinja Pandurovic, attended latest edition of Partizan Podcast. In his first season with the club, Pandurovic reached third-tier runners-up position with Teleoptik behind leaders Zemun and with a great point margin to other nearest league rivals.
Previously, Pandurovic worked at Partizan for years, as a coaching assistant to Mirkovic, Stanojevic, Petric and, most recently, Duljaj.
“I learned a lot from coaches I worked with. Mirkovic recognized my talent as we worked together at Sindjelic, so he invited me to help him at Partizan. I believe my quality was recognized as more Partizan head coaches wanted me in their coaching team. Stanojevic is a massive Partizan fan as well, he lives for black-and-white colours and my football philosophy is very close to his”, said Pandurovic.
Pandurovic also stated how specific coaching work at Teleoptik is.
“Our aim is to push forward young players who didn`t get to Partizan senior team after graduating from club`s youths. It`s not like it used to be when you had youngsters plying their trade on loan at lower tiers, now you have young players who want to get a transfer abroad as soon as they are 18 or 19, they are surrounded by agents who see them as a milking cow while we are there to protect them”.
Fans would like to know if there is a quality for Partizan within Teleoptik roster.
“Surely, there are players for Partizan here. I would underline team captain and the drive of this Teleoptik team – Nikola Stankovic. He`s still young, 21 years of age, and he could be a bonus rule player for Partizan. Moreover, we have youngster Lekic, he is a versatile forward who scooped 13 goals and 10 assist this season. Also, there are too very young chaps, Uros Petrovic and Vanja Djordjevic, both born year 2006, they are all Partizan future”, said Strahinja Pandurovic.
