FK Partizan General Director spoke to media reps on new VIP area honouring Partizan great Ivan Curkovic and other ongoing works at Partizan Stadium.
“I`m so thrilled we are here today. This project was started at the end of the last season. Very little was invested at this stadium in the past, this hall hasn`t been renovated for a long time and FK Partizan deserves better VIP area and stadium itself. My idea was to start anew and we did central VIP area and all the others at the West stand.
We have bigger VIP area capacity now and we already sold 11 VIP areas to our sponsors while the rest will be sold individually. All of them will be functional for our first home game as this one against Napredak was not hosted by the club but we managed to open this part of VIP area while the rest will be ready for CL qualifier. I have to praise our stadium director, Nebojsa Avramovic, who made a real effort to make all this. Partizan was not up to this financially and sponsors covered 60% of the expenses”, said Milos Vazura.
FK Partizan General Director underlined fans will be surprised when they come to Partizan ground next time around.
“Money we earned and money we will earn will be invested in further renovations. We are moving to dressing rooms next, followed by works on other VIP areas around the ground. We want to show we are moving forward and we focus on VIP areas because they bring good funds and we can finish the rest of the works with it. In general, we decided to invest in VIP to try and sell as many season tickets as possible. I`d like to thank everyone involved, builders who worked in tropical conditions. It was far from easy but I hope all Partizan fans will be delighted about this”.
UEFA control was also satisfied with works done.
“We had to do it before as these are all UEFA demands. They were here and they were pleased. We invested in all the gates and cameras as well. Of course, I hope we`ll play European competition this Autumn as that`s the only way we can expect more fans coming down”, said Milos Vazura.
