Partizan achieved a comprehensive 4-0 win away to league newcomers Jedinstvo Ub. Bibars Natcho scored a goal and assisted twice, Djordje Jovanovic scored a brace and Nemanja Trifunovic also got onto the scoresheet.
We spoke to Trifunovic and Jovanovic after the game.
You scored your second Partizan career goal and we scored an opener from the spot after you were fouled in the box.
“Honestly, my stats are not so important as much as Partizan win. It was hard to pick up after a European game away but we had our joint target and our hard work and determination removed our focus from European defeat so all our energy was aimed at today`s domestic league match.
We are Partizan and this is what is expected from us. We didn`t want to let our fans down and big thanks for them for coming down to support us, it means a lot to us”, said Nemanja Trifunovic.
Who was giving you the most support among your teammates?
“Lazarevic and Nikolic. They told me to loosen up, to play as I do in training sessions and everything will be fine”.
Djordje Jovanovic returned to Partizan this season and scored a brace in his first full start of the season and missed three more fine opportunities.
“It was my first start so I was a bit nervous. It was hard after Dynamo defeat but we did well today. I had fine teammates on the pitch, Natcho played many good passes for me and I listened to Stanojevic`s advice so everything paid off nicely”, said Djordje Jovanovic.
Did you get burden off your chest after your first start?
“One game, two goals. Nothing changes. But, it`s easier for me now as the burden is off. I`ll do my best every day and I hope things will be better in the future”.
How do you dedicate your brace to?
“To my family, of course”, said Jovanovic.
Partizan is playing Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday (8pm CET kick-off), reverse UEFA Champions League round 2 qualifier match.
