Partizan won Cukaricki 3-1 in attendance of 17, 156 fans, with goals from Natcho (`54), Filipovic (`65) and Kalulu (`89).
One of the goalscorers, Aleksandar Filipovic, spoke to the Partizan website after the game.
“This is what we`ve been waiting for such a long time. It`s incredible feeling when you play in front of packed stands and fans were there to help us and motivate us even more, especially in the second half when we were one-nil down and when we managed to achieve a win so desired on the back of their energy. I think we deserved this win and I would like to praise everyone – my teammates, coaching staff and our fans on incredible support”, said 29-year-old defender.
Boss Savo Milosevic told you at half-time he is sure you`ll make a comeback. Was there anything else he said to you?
“He believed in us, in our comeback. He told us to calm down, not to panic and we will score and turn things in our favour. He believed in us from the go and after the game he said the same things. Boys showed character and we manage to make a comeback for the second time in a row”.
The start of the game was quite surreal, one of the best events in town over the past few weeks. We spotted a lot of important sport personas, including Predrag Mijatovic, Danko Lazovic, Sasa Ilic Ostoja Mijailovic and Dragan Stojkovic.
“Yes, it was quite special. It means a lot to us when such people come to watch us play and support us. I`m sure we`ll be even better and more efficient in the future”.
Partizan will play second-tier Mladost GAT away on Wednesday, as part of Serbian Cup round of 32 stage fixtures. Has this atmosphere at home been a great boost for you ahead of this encounter?
“Of course it is. We are on a four-game winning streak and this win means a lot to us considering how we started the league. It`s a one-legged tie on Wednesday, the opponent is uncomfortable as it is, but we know we have to recover as soon as possible and go there to win it”, said Aleksandar Filipovic.
