Partizan boss Savo Milosevic spoke to media reps after the TSC 2-1 win away.
“I expected this kind of the game. TSC was our toughest game since my return to Partizan, they are the best opposition we played so far. We managed to shock them early and it was crucial, I`m not sure we would win without it. Team showed character in the second-half, when it was tough. Credit to the boys, they endured a lot and this is one more step forward.
We knew TSC plays good high pressing leaving space for us at the final third. We have enough flank pace to threaten any opponent and players in the midfield who can spot this at the right moments, such as Natcho and Zahid. We try to use that to the full and hide our weaknesses. As I said, our main strengths are flank pace and intelligence of our two playmakers. We score in continuity and that`s giving us a lot of stability.
Young lads who came in s subs also showed character. It`s normal to suffer at certain moments when you`re under pressure from the opponent good on the ball.
I think we can fix certain things. You can do a lot of it during mid-season preps as it`s not handy to do it now during competitive season. We try to raise the bar when it comes to quality of our play. Inevitably, our game does grow, otherwise we wouldn`t get this win against such strong opposition. Our aim is to always add something to our next match.
First of all, I tried to fix psychology here, to get players into the good mood and to see everyone laughing around. We want to do every training session and game in a positive atmosphere. We also worked on tactical bits and we can be satisfied in that area. Winning is the best cure for everything”, said Savo Milosevic.
