Former Serbian internationals and CSKA players Zoran Tosic and Milos Krasic were guests of honour at Partizan v CSKA friendly. Zoran Tosic played for both Partizan and CSKA and he was quite emotional after this magnificent event.
“Over a thousand CSKA fans came over from Russia and it was truly beautiful seeing both sets of fans enjoying together, nurturing their fraternity and friendship. I hope both Partizan and CSKA will start winning trophies again. It would be excellent to see them play against each other in European competition like they did in 2005 and for that to happen Partizan needs to qualify for UEFA group stages and ban to be lifted on Russian clubs” , said Zoran Tosic.
Milos Krasic wished Partizan good luck in the future and praised work of the new management and coaching team.
“Partizan looks better with the new coach and management in place, you can see that by team`s results and performances. I wished my great friend Danko Lazovic lots of luck in everything ahead of him and I would also like thank Partizan for inviting me to attend such a great event”, said Milos Krasic.
Krasic also looked back at the game he played against Partizan in 2005 while at CSKA, when Moscow brothers met black-and-whites on their road to the UEFA Cup glory.
“It`s twenty years since that game was player and it`s a pleasure for me to remember it, as it was one of the matches we played on our road to important UEFA Cup trophy win. Of course, final score doesn`t matter in today`s friendly, it`s about wonderful fraternal atmosphere and hopefully no one will pick injury”, said Krasic.
