Belgrade, November 12
Partizan won Cukaricki 2-1 with a goal scored deep into injury time, to extend league winning run to 13 games.
Keeper Jovanovic beat the fever to appear between the posts, Filipovic deputized for Stojkovic (foot injury) at the right-back position.
Over the first 15 mins, Partizan threatened via right flank and Severina, but his dangerous passes into the 6-yard box were met with last gasp clearances. On the other side of the field, Cukaricki`s Miladinovic sent an edge of the box drive wide on 11.
Partizan took the lead on 21 after a fine left side move and sharp pass from Zahid followed by brisk first-touch left-footed shot from Saldanha for ball to end up in the bottom left corner of the net. 1-0, Partizan.
Former Partizan player Ivanovic threatened on 24 but sent and angled shot wide of the far post.
Severina kept threatening visitors. On 31, he won corner-kick for Partizan and Zahid sent the ball wide with his brisk low shot in the follow-up.
Belic saw his promising shot blocked on 36 and on 40 there was a penalty VAR check but it turned out there was no handball from Cukaricki defender Vranjes in the process.
On 43, Natcho sent a pass for Saldanha to the left of the box, followed by angled lob attempt just wide of the far post.
Straight after the break, right-back Filipovic picked up a booking for his right flank sharp tackle.
Cukaricki had more possession early in the second half and on 51 Tosic sent the ball wide with his 17m drive while alerted Jovanovic came off the line to prevent Adentunji getting to the ball on 56.
Partizan balanced the possession by the hour mark but it was visitors to threat again. On 67, Stankovic hits the outside netting with his far post effort.
On 69, in-form Severina had to be subbed for what it appeared like muscle injury. In came Kalulu. Earlier on, Duljaj made his trademark substitution – Scekic coming in for Kanoute.
Cukaricki kept threatening, Ivanovic was the creator of opportunities on 73 and 75 while shot from Kovac on 79 got blocked.
Duljaj introduced two more subs on 80 – Nikolic and Menig in for Natcho and Saldanha.
On 82, Tosic headed the ball wide after Cukaricki corner-kick and two mins later visitors were rewarded for their efforts. Brilliant through ball from Adetunji and neat finish from Miladinovic who beat Partizan keeper to send the ball into the empty net. Partizan 1-1 Cukaricki.
Partizan rushed forward looking for the late winner. Two mins into the injury time, Antic`s 17m free-kick was blocked by a man in the wall but four minutes later Partizan did score a winner after another brilliant pass from Zahid and clinical finish from young centre-back Ilic. Partizan 2-1 Cukaricki!! Such an important win for Partizan ahead of the international break.
Partizan remains top of the pile, 6 points ahead of bitter rivals Crvena Zvezda in second.
