Just over a month since the takeover of the FK Partizan Task Force Group, one of the members of the new management, Milka Forcan, welcomed journalist Branka Tmusic at the Partizan Trophy Hall where she did an exclusive interview for Prva and B92 TV stations.
Forcan didn`t pick this room for an interview by chance. Trophy Hall is FK Partizan`s sacred place and landmark for everyone visiting our club.
“These days, with all the troubles we have, I love to enter this hall, to breathe new impulse and energy showing me this is a battle worth engaging in. All these trophies, documents of glorious history tell us we took on one serious job, to try and repair situation at one institution. We are not doing a job in a company or even in football club; this is Partizan, an institution. I believe we will build a new and larger trophy hall one day, for us to be able to fit in all the new trophies”, said Milka Forcan.
Before you actual arrival to the club, you revealed your reason why you want to help Partizan in probably the toughest time in the club`s history. What would be your chief reason to help the club now?
“Surely, it`s still my main reason, in shortest – it`s because I love Partizan. When you look at the things rationally, you cannot find so many arguments for the engagement in such venture. This decision is of more emotional nature”.
You arrived to the club hugely in debt. Do you this as the main problem?
“We all know the amount of debt and it might sound strange but I have to say football is a sport where such debt is not as big as it would be if we were talking about other sports. Basically, it`s not an inaccessible amount. In football, with a number of quality transfers, you can achieve certain things. In my opinion, more of a problem is a collapse of a club and its youth academy. Our youth academy was always our jewel in a crown and one of the most prestigious football academies in Europe. One of new management`s priorities is for our academy to become future player`s recourse”.
Fans are back at the stands. It`s been a long time since Humska Road ground was packed. What are your future plans and initiatives currently under way?
“It`s the reason you are doing all this, that moment and emotion, driving force giving you energy to battle with it all. One of the new things - and this is the first time I`m saying it publicly – is the new campaign entitled “The season starts now”. It will kickstart next week when we will release new season ticket for sale, with certain benefits involved. At the same time, we will also release standard price tickets with option of supporting your club as every fan will be able to decide how much he will pay for the purchase. Basic prices will stay the same but anyone will be able to pay up to ten times more, depending on how much you can afford to help the club”, said Milka Forcan.
