FK Partizan would like to inform public of Savo Milosevic`s resignation as First Team Head Coach. Resignation was accepted by a mutual agreement after talks with members of Task Force Group in charge of sporting department, Predrag Mijatovic and Danko Lazovic.
FK Partizan and a Task Force Group managing the club on a caretaking basis took a clear stance on parting with club running model which led to current difficulties for the club. Within the process of recovery, new management clearly defined resolute and uncompromising course, despite attempts and “informal influence” of interested parties. Although this course is challenging, we believe it`s the righteous one.
After Partizan win over Jedinstvo, Predrag Mijatovic spoke to Head Coach Milosevic and number of topics were discussed, including debut appearance of Marko Kerkez who entered the field on the hour. Considering circumstances under which above-mentioned player was signed in the summer transfer window, sporting department of the club is of the opinion that his appearance sends the wrong message to the public and the fans, leaving the impression of previous practice continuation which is not in accordance with values and credibility of a club of Partizan stature. On his behalf, coach Milosevic stated the reason for his resignation is his desire to protect personal integrity and autonomy in decision-making.
FK Partizan would like to underline our intention was not to release First Team Head Coach nor we discussed his wages or financial details of the contract. Now-former Head Coach had a full freedom to pick his team and line-ups with autonomy of sporting department not being impared. Coach Milosevic enjoyed unequivocal support and he was emphasized as “the best solution” in all previous public appearances of the club representatives.
FK Partizan would like to thank Savo Milosevic on his contribution during his second coaching spell with the club, wishing him lots of success in his future career.
At the moment, club`s priority is to name Caretaker Head Coach from the existing coaching team who will be in charge of following two FK Partizan league matches. At the same time, club will start new coach appointment process and public can expect to be informed on the matter timely.
