Latest edition of Partizan Interview show was attended by centre-back Nikola Simic, club`s academy graduate who made his full senior debut last weekend. 17-year-old told us how he felt about it.
“It was so lovely to play at home for my debut. Unfortunately, the final score was unfavorable. We are now getting ready for the next game and I want us to win it. I tried to play it safe – passing it to the player next to me or an odd long ball but I was thinking more of guarding our net overall”, said Simic.
He will turn 18 in less than a month but Simic`s thoughts are very mature.
“Nikola Milenkovic is my role model. He is in a top form now, a top class player. Milenkovic built his career gradually, he didn`t rush to a big club after Partizan straight away, he was moving forward step by step. Milenkovic had a double with Partizan to start with and now he is at English Premier League. I would love to follow that path. I`m not after money, I love football and I believe it`s all about your effort and work”.
Simic also revealed his birthday wish.
“Honestly, I would really love us to win Eternal derby game, let`s call it my birthday wish. But, our boss Blagojevic insists on taking things gradually, game by game, so I don`t want to look into future too much”, said Nikola Simic.
