Moscow, July 3

Partizan won Fraternal Cup opener against hosts Dynamo Moscow on penalties, after a 90-minute two-all draw.

Boss Stanojevic fielded two summer signings – Mujakic and Arriaga – from the start, while de Medina was introduced in a new right-back role.

Hosts paid respect to veterans Tanasijevic and Pimenov who played opening four minutes and were subbed to the standing ovation.

Dynamo dominated possession in the first half and created a number of opportunities. Partizan keeper Jovanovic made two fine saves while Dynamo had hosts of other opportunities but missed the target altogether. Moreover, Makarov hit the crossbar with his excellent effort just before the half-time.

On the other side, Partizan created a couple of chances but forward Saldanha was inches late to seize on passes from Antic and Zahid respectively.

After the break, Partizan skipper Markovic suffered a nasty kick and had to subbed 8 minutes into the second half while boss Stanojevic made six more changes few mins after the hour mark.

Arriaga sent the ball high over the bar with his long range effort on 60 while Kalulu made a great run on 64 but failed to find any of his teammates in the box.

Jovanovic had to make another save on 68, this one from Grulov.

Hosts took the lead on 76 after a fierce strike inside the box from youngster Lepskii. He smashed the ball into the top corner of the net to the bemusement and joy of his teammates.

Scekic had a good opportunity on 81 but his shot was blocked.

Dynamo doubled the lead on 86 after two home players managed to beat offside trap for Grulov to send the ball into the empty net.

Moments later, Partizan scored! Jovanovic sent a good ball over to the right flank for Severina who then beat two players to enter the box and send a return ball for Nikolic who scored from heart of the box.

Partizan equalized early in the 5 minutes of stoppage time. Scekic seized on poor reaction from Dynamo keeper to send the ball into the empty net, for a 2-2 full-time draw.

Partizan keeper Jovanovic saved two penalties in the shootout to win Partizan two points. Dynamo won one point.

CSKA Moscow will host OFK Beograd tomorrow, in the second of the four meeting between the two cities.
