Peruvian winger Joao Grimaldo signed a four-year deal with Partizan!
21-year-old winger picked Partizan shirt number 20.
He`s already played three seasons in senior football as member of Sporting Cristal. Grimaldo is also a Peru international.
We spoke to young winger upon signing.
“I was in Europe before visiting my family but this is the first time I`m in Serbia. Flight was really long and I`m still recovering from jetlag but I`m happy to finally be here”, said Grimaldo.
What attracted you to come to Partizan?
“Most of all, it`s a club with tradition and lots of titles won. I really like that Partizan has a great number of fans and I heard they are incredible. I cannot wait to come out onto the pitch”.
Biggest game of Serbian football is Eternal Belgrade derby. Did you watch any clips of it?
“Yes, I watched it and I heard about it. It`s incredible atmosphere with intensive football involved. I`m excited to be part of it and I`ll do my best to contribute to a derby win”.
How would you describe yourself playing-wise?
“I`m a winger who always tries to push forward and creates goal opportunities. I`m quick, I like to dribble but I`m team player as well”.
Your message to the Partizan fans?
“Partizan is a big club and we have obligation to win each and every game we play. I`ll give hundred percent in all games to achieve club objectives”, said Joao Grimaldo.
